World War I

A very rare group of World War I stereoscope transparencies on glass.

93 slides showing many scenes from World War I trench warfare. Soldiers, Prisoners-Of-War, Weapons, Carnage, Destruction, Bodies etc. Captions are in French and so it is assumed that they were taken by a War Photographer from French on the French Lines.

This group has survived for over 75 years intact and it will not be split by us into individual slides
