Fronris foldout panoramic engraving of A Prospect of the Town Of Stanford. In XIV Books, pp. xvi, 26, 48, 36, 26, 18, 22, 24, 56, 58, 24, 68, 43, 14, 66 [after close of book XIV numbering continues to 74 with The Close and more engravings], 24 pp of Chronological Table. This section contains 33 engravings, 29 full page. Second section of this volume with own vignette title page is << The Survey and Antiquitie of the Towne of Stamford>> by Richard Butcher. ppvi, 31, plus letters by the late reverend William Forster about the origin and antiquities of the town of Stanford, 17pp. The second section contains 6 full page engraved plates. 38 engravings in total. Externally book is intact , bumped and rubbed at corners, chips from leather backstrip, both front and rear joints intact with no splits, internally marbled heavy paper endpapers intact. Front inner joint cracked at title page, fold-up panorama loose, small cracks on folds early strengthening on rear but complete, title page almost completely loose. Text block is tight and firm, some foxing and slight stains on front and rear pages and  occasional spots and marks throughout but generally clean. Very scarce edition and not seen with the second section before and never with so many engravings still intact.
