Definition
of Quality: Having studied descriptions good and bad from a number of
vendors, I have set my definitions for quality as follows: Mint/Near Mint Condition. As new, also appears throughout the site as "Near Mint" Fine
Condition Very
slight wear, an excellent copy. Items in Fine condition are very close to Mint.
There may be very minor faults such as slight bumping to the spine, but any
minor defects will be noted along with the description Very
Good Condition
The
copy will have some faults such as minimal spine or cover corner damage caused
by storage or possibly a neat inscription but is in excellent condition. Any
defects will be noted along with the description Good
Condition Obviously
second-hand. May contain a little writing, spine and cover wear or moderately creased or
turned pages. Any defects will be noted along with the description. Fair Condition Seen better days. Will have obvious faults such as writing, some spine loss, tears on cover or pages, bowing of covers, loosening of binding (but not falling apart). Collectors may put up with this quality for rare books until a better issue is found. Defects will be noted along with the description. Poor Condition Will have serious faults, such as major spine loss, cover loss, writing on pages, torn pages. Also called "Reading copy" in places. Some rarer books are offered in this condition when better copies are impossible to locate. Please
